Time to give this bio an update, I think.
I make my living as part of the vast media conspiracy that secretly runs everything. Some people think it's a liberal conspiracy. Some people think it's a conservative conspiracy. That's just what we want you to think. When someone claims to have the facts "the media doesn't want you to know!" -- they're talking about me. (Except there are no facts the media doesn't want you to know. What would be the point? Our whole job is to want you to know things.)
When I'm not helping to plan the imminent media takeover of all that is decent and good, I'm a father, a husband, and a member of a very large, unusual, created "peer" family. There are about a dozen of us, inhabiting five acres in the far exurbs of NYC. It's a little chaotic at times, but we like it. If I don't scare you away, you'll read quite a bit about us. (I have a brief guide to who's who, but it is frequently out of date.)
I'm also an aspiring novelist, an occasional singer-songwriter, and a shameless film geek. My wife and I often litter our conversations with quotes from standup comedians no one else has ever heard of. (People look at us funny.)
Some days I don't post -- some days I post five times. I try to post in public as often as I can, but certain topics (such as work) are locked. I do, however, like new readers, so feel free to add me. It's always nice if you comment and tell me who you are and how you found me -- it saves me some guesswork. (I will go and read you a bit to make sure you're a real person. If you're a Russian bot, I will ban you and report you.) But if I don't add you back, it's nothing personal.
There's nothing I hate more than having to teach grown people manners, so please keep the conversation civil.
Anything else you want to know, you'll have to read yourself. Don't worry, I won't bite. Certainly not if you don't ask nicely.
